Rewards

At New Leaf, rewarding pupils for their work is an integral part of supporting them to develop both personally and academically. Our expectations of pupils are high and pupils thrive form the intrinsic reward of completing challenging activities and moving outside of their 'comfort zone'. We stretch pupils to achieve their best both in lessons and outside of lessons.

Expectations are based around the following basics:

  • Being ready to learn, attending school everyday and on time
  • Showing resilience and independence
  • Being respectful to all
  • Completing their work to a high standard
  • Achieving their personal targets

Pupils have the opportunity to receive a £5 voucher and there is a prize draw at the end of each week where the pupils' points are converted into raffle tickets giving them a chance for their name to be drawn. We also have lunch and break time superstars,  where pupils are rewarded for being kind and playing together cooperatively.

KS3 Rewards

Rewarding pupils for their hard work is important to us all at New Leaf. National lockdown has limited our opportunities to get out and about but we will always find a way!

To celebrate their fantastic work and resillience over the last few weeks, KS3 pupils had the opportunity to take a wander in the countryside. They took the chance to experience the stepping stones on Cannock Chase, helping themselves to plenty of fresh air. Well done all for the fforts over the lset few weeks.

KS3 pupils had the chance to experience Go-karting as part of the rewards trips. It's definitely something they want to experience again judging by their reactions when they returned to school.
